When a man asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), “Of all people, who is the most entitled to my kindness and good company?

The Prophet answered, “Your mother.”
The man asked twice again, “Who comes next?” The Prophet replied on each occasion, “Your mother.”
On the third time, when asked again, “Who comes next?”, the Prophet replied, “Your father.”
