Know, the true nature of your Beloved.
In His loving eyes, your every thought,
Word and movement is always –
Always Beautiful.

Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil al-Haqqani ar-Rabbani (may God sanctify his innermost being), the fortieth Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain said the following:-
“Alexander the Great died while still a young man. When he was on his deathbed, he summoned his generals and said to the them, ‘As you can see, I will soon be breathing my last. I’m ready to go, but I have one last request to make of you. When my agony has come to an end, and you prepare me for burial, I ask that you arrange things so that my hands stick out of the coffin rather than being folded in front of me as is usually done.’
The puzzled generals asked him, ‘why do you desire it to be so?’ Alexander answered, ‘people need to know that even Alexander the Great must leave this world empty handed, that he can’t take any treasures with him.’
Alexander was one of only four people in history to conquer such a vast swath of territory, and all the world’s treasures were at his feet. But even he could take nothing of it with him into death. How about us? What shall we take?”
