Know, the true nature of your Beloved.
In His loving eyes, your every thought,
Word and movement is always –
Always Beautiful.
~ Hafiz
“The British scholar who coined the term ‘mindfulness’ to translate the Pali word ‘sati’ was probably influenced by the Anglican prayer to be ever mindful of the needs of others – in other words, to always keep their needs in mind. But even though the word ‘mindful’ was probably drawn from a Christian context, the Buddha himself defined the word ‘sati’ as ‘the ability to Remember’.”
This more accurate translation is very close to the fundamental Sufi term and practice, Dhikr – Remembrance.
Join us every Thursday evening for Dhikr – Sufi Chanting in the Remembrance of God.
