The warp and the weft

Khwaja Ali Ramitani al-Azizan (may God sanctify his innermost being), the fourteenth Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain, whilst also being the fifth Khwaja in the ‘Khwajagan’ – the Masters of Wisdom of Central Asia, said the following:-

The venerable Azizan was asked, “What is faith?”
He replied, “To yearn and to arrive.”
He also gave another reply, using the language of his trade of carpet weaving, “It is the warp and the weft.”
