The Golden Chain
To lift the burden
Khwaja Abdul Khaliq al-Gijdivoniy (may God sanctify his innermost being), the eleventh Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain and the second of the ‘Khwajagan’ – the Masters of Wisdom of Central Asia, said the following:-
“It is necessary to lift the burden from one’s fellow creatures, and this can only be done through lawful earning. On the path of the Masters of Wisdom, the hand is applied to making lawful profit, while the heart is always devoted to the Beloved.”
