The Golden Chain

What fortune and what honour . . .

Shaykh Ahmed al-Faruqi as-Sirhindi (may God sanctify his innermost being), the twenty fifth Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain, the ‘Renewer of the Second Islamic Millennium’, said the following:-

“Without a doubt, this is our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the leader of all creation. His nation is the best of nations.

God says, “You are the best community ever raised for humanity” (Quran 3:110).

When God praised him in such a way, denying the Prophet makes you the worst of people. God mentions such people, “The Bedouins are more stubborn in their unbelief and hypocrisy” (Quran 9:97). This refers to people who reject the Prophet.

What fortune and what honour is for a person who follows his Sunnah? God criticizes people who disbelieve in him, but what if you follow? Then what lies ahead for you? These days, even a little action would be accepted. Look at the example of the People of the Cave – for one deed, they were granted such high rank, and that one deed was to migrate from the enemy of God. As they escaped from the enemy of God as migration, God gave them certainty of faith and protected them.”
