Shaykh Muhammad Adil al-Haqqani

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Adil al-Haqqani is the current leader of the Haqqani branch of the Naqshbandi Order. He is the son and successor of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani, the fortieth Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain, and Hajja Amina, a Saint of the Naqshbandi Order.
Born in Damascus in 1957, Shaykh Mehmet, as he is known, spent his youth under the guidance and training of two of the greatest spiritual Masters of their time – Shaykh Abdullah al-Faiz ad-Daghestani, the thirty ninth Shaykh in the Naqshbandi Golden Chain and his father, Shaykh Nazim.
He received his Islamic education from the prestigious Mahd al-Fath Institute in Damascus. He lives in the village of Akbaba in Istanbul and regularly travels around the world to teach the Naqshbandi way.
